Welcome to High Tide Scuba

At High Tide Scuba, our main focus is on Scuba instruction. We don’t sell Scuba gear, and our focus is to give our students the most enjoyable dive training experience possible. We offer Scuba courses year-round throughout the Fort Worth, Arlington, and Mansfield areas. Whether you are ready to get your Open Water Diver certification, or become a dive professional, we are ready to teach you. By the end of your course, you will have the confidence to perform the skills you learned safely and comfortably – and you will have a great time learning it all too!

We offer a wide range of PADI Scuba courses from beginner to advanced, as well as many specialty courses to suit your diving interests.  We offer extremely flexible class schedules, small class sizes, and all-inclusive pricing.  When you sign up for a course, we will come up with a schedule that is convenient for you. We know that people in the Dallas and Fort Worth area are extremely busy, so we try hard to make the course schedule as convenient as possible for our students. In addition, we offer private and semi-private courses for less than many other shops charge for large group classes.

If you are planning a family vacation, our family Scuba classes are exactly what you are looking for.  We start with a free orientation at your home. We will discuss your families many training options, training schedule, pass out books and training materials, and answer any questions and concerns you or your family may have. The orientation is FREE and only takes about one hour.  We have many training options to choose from, so call us today to set up a time for your orientation.

Have a disability and can’t complete the regular Scuba certification program? We also specialize in Scuba certification through the Handicapped Scuba Association.  Please call for details. If you are a disabled veteran with combat-related injuries, we would love to hear from you.  We have a limited number of FREE Scuba training opportunities you may be eligible to receive.

About the instructor

David Imschweiler is a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer, Handicapped Scuba Association Instructor, and Emergency First Response Instructor.  He has logged over a thousand dives throughout Texas, Florida, Southern California, Hawaii, the Caribbean, the South Pacific, and the Far East. When he’s not Scuba diving, David is employed by the US Government in Fort Worth.  He is retired from the military, and he has travelled extensively throughout the world. He is an avid supporter of veteran's-related organizations such as the Cody Unser First Step Foundation, the Wounded Warriors, and Paralyzed Veterans of America, and he is actively involved in Scuba rehabilitation for disabled veterans. His training philosophy is to be there for you before, during, and after your Scuba class is completed.  Not only does he want to teach you to dive, he wants to keep you diving.

Our training facilities

At High Tide Scuba, our training philosophy is very different from your local dive shop.  Our business concept is based on two premises, flexibility and mobility.  We teach many Group classes at our permanent classroom location in Mansfield, TX. We also have a fully equipped mobile training trailer, and we can bring the training to you anywhere in the Metro area. Many of our Family and Private classes are taught right at our students homes. Our outdoor pool is located in Mansfield, and it is heated year-round to a very comfortable 87 degrees. During the winter months, we also use an indoor heated Olympic size pool.  We pride ourselves on making our class schedules flexible for our private, semi-private, and family classes. All of our class schedules can be modified, and no matter what your schedule is we can accommodate you.
